
About the Program
The Level3 International Award in Emergency First Aid with CPR for all Ages, is a qualification aimed at providing learners with the necessary knowledge, understanding and skills to support emergency first aid. The qualification covers knowledge such as the roles and responsibilities of a first aider and how to assess and incident.
This qualification has been developed for those who wish to become an Emergency First Aider. Learners gaining this qualification will know how to effectively perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation(CPR, for Adult, child and Infant),providing First Aid to causality who is chocking, dealing with external bleeding & hypovolemic shock.
Course Objectives:
· Understand the role and responsibilities of a first aider
· Know basic emergency first aid requirements
· Be able to manage a casualty who is breathing normally and unresponsive (Adult, child & an infant)
· Be able to manage a casualty who is not breathing normally and unresponsive (Adult, child & an infant)
· Be able to perform cardio pulmonary resuscitation (Adult, child & an infant)
· Know how to recognize and assist a casualty who is chocking (Adult, child & an infant)
· Know how to recognize and assist a casualty with minor injury
· Know how to provide First Aid to a casualty with external bleeding
· Know how to manage a casualty who is in shock
