About the Program

This qualification is designed for all staff, particularly new starters, in any workplace where a basic understanding of fire safety is required. Learners will understand that fire safety is everyone’s responsibility and will recognize their role in preventing fires and limiting their spread.

Course Coverage

This half-day (4 hours) program introduces the essentials of workplace fire safety. Key topics include:

·      Elements of the fire triangle and main causes ofworkplace fires

·      Costs and consequences of workplace fires for employersand employees

·      Duties of employees, employers, and fire wardens

·      Fire prevention measures and risk control strategies

·      Types of portable fire-fighting equipment and correctusage

·      Simple equipment checks to ensure readiness

·      Correct actions to take in case of a fire

·      Contacting emergency services effectively

The course is assessed through a multiple-choice examination and is internationally recognised.
