About the Program

This qualification is designed for individuals who may be required to perform tasks at height in their workplace. It provides learners with the knowledge to identify hazards, plan safe systems of work, and use access equipment correctly. The program ensures participants understand how to reduce the risks of falls, follow safe techniques, and comply with international best practices.

Course Coverage

This half-day (4 hours) training covers the essential aspects of working safely at height, including:

  • Planning and preparing safe systems of work at height
  • The hierarchy of control for working at height
  • Requirements to prevent falls and maintain safety
  • Identifying fragile roof surfaces, voids, and holes
  • Types of access equipment and associated hazards
  • Hazard spotting and risk recognition exercises
  • Knowing when to cease work if conditions become unsafe

The qualification is assessed through a multiple-choice examination and is internationally recognised.
