About the Program

This qualification is designed for individuals who may be required to work in confined spaces. It provides essential knowledge of confined space hazards, roles and responsibilities, safe systems of work, and emergency considerations. Learners will understand how to identify confined spaces, recognise associated dangers, and follow correct procedures to ensure safety and compliance.

Course Coverage

This half-day(4 hours) program covers:

  • Definition and classification of confined spaces
  • Health and safety hazards and when to stop work if risks change
  • Safe systems of work, planning, and supporting documentation
  • Roles and responsibilities of employers, entrants, attendants, and supervisors
  • Equipment selection and correct use
  • Considerations for confined space rescue procedures

The course isassessed through a multiple-choice exam and is internationally recognised.
