About the Program
This qualification is designed for supervisors, managers, and team leaders. It equips learners with the knowledge and skills to investigate workplace accidents and incidents effectively, identify contributing factors, analyse evidence, and implement measures to prevent recurrence.

Course Coverage
This 1-day (8 hours) program includes:
• Key terminology in accident and incident investigation: near miss, accident, incident, dangerous occurrence, immediate, underlying, and root causes
• Purpose of investigation: moral, legal, financial, customer, ISO, and insurance requirements
• Contributory factors leading to accidents: human, environmental, organisational, occupational, and individual
• Procedures for investigating workplace accidents, including scene preservation, evidence gathering, and report writing
• Positive interview techniques and managing external relations
• Post-investigation measures to prevent recurrence
• Common reasons why investigations fail
