About the Program
This qualification is designed for supervisors and managers responsible for health and safety within their organisations. It provides advanced knowledge of workplace safety management, risk control, and international standards. Learners will understand both the legal and moral responsibilities to protect employees, contractors, visitors, and suppliers, while developing practical skills to implement and monitor health and safety systems.
Course Coverage
This 5-dayprogram (40 guided learning hours) covers:
- Duties and responsibilities of employers, employees, contractors, and managers
- Moral, legal, social, and financial reasons for health and safety
- Health and safety policies, systems, and communication methods
- Risk assessments, safe systems of work, and permits-to-work
- Accident and incident investigation, reporting, and review procedures
- Fire safety, electrical safety, equipment and lifting operations
- Manual handling, ergonomics, and display screen equipment
- Work at height, confined spaces, transport safety, and construction responsibilities
- Chemical, biological, and physical hazards (noise, vibration, radiation, stress, asbestos, legionella, etc.)
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) selection and management
- International standards and conventions (ILO, ISO, etc.)
